Black Bolt and White Flare Special Sets for the Unova Region Announced

Special sets "Black Bolt" e "White Flare" of the Pokémon Collectible Card Game have been officially announced and represent a significant new addition to the expansion landscape. These sets, scheduled for release in Japan on June 6, 2025, will be the first to be released as twin expansions, each with distinct but complementary content

Main features of the sets

• Unima theme: Both sets focus on the Unima region, including cards depicting all 156 original Pokémon of this generation.

• Legendary protagonists: Reshiram and Zekrom will be the central figures, featured both as main cards and in the graphics of associated packs and accessories.

"Enhanced Expansion Pack" format: Similar to other special expansions such as "Pokémon 151," these sets will offer exclusive content, including cards with special finishes.

International release

The English version of these sets is scheduled to be released on July 18, 2025, marking the first time an expansion is split into two separate sets for the Western market. This approach may indicate a new direction for future Pokémon GCC expansions.
